Has it already been six months since the last update?

Last time,

Ophelia was your hostess and yapped her big mouth...

Now it's my turn!!

See here a picture above of the both of us taken this september.

As you can see,

we are both alive and well!!

Alright,

let's recap!!

Last spring,

Ophelia went to the vet to get fixed,

like i did...

While i had a few days rest without her around,

she recuperated quite well

and was happily reunited with the Man

who brought her back home...

Of course!!

She may be young but she knows the game,

playing coy with the Man...

How come she got to keep her claws?

not fair if you ask me...

Last spring,

Ophelia started seeing ghosts...

I swear i could sense something as well.

We both settled down for a while...

but after doing some house cleaning,

we came across a lot of hair.

Ghost hair?!?

Ticklebear claims there are no ghost,

and that we are the ones shedding all over the place...

HOW RUDE!!!

When springtime arrived,

it was Ophelia's first

and she marveled at everything she saw and smelled.

I must admit it was intoxicating for me too

after the long winter months.

May was sunny and warm

and offered many moments of quietness.

Moments occasionally interrupted by my roommate...

Ah, who cares?!?

No matter how cute i act...

Ticklebear has eyes mostly on his computer or the new girl...

Yeah, yeah!!

I get it!!

She's cute!!!

But it would be nice

if it would be my turn once in a while...

Sure,

we girls occasionally share some good times.

On May 15th,

it was my birthday and Ticklebear gave me a scratcher.

I loved the attention

but he shouldn't think he'll get away from his duties to me:

because he had me declawed,

he promised he would scratch me until the end of time to my heart's content.

He did also get a glove that simply drives me nuts with glee!!

Ophelia's birthday was July 21rst.

She loved that toy that is now defunct.

She didn't get scolded for breaking it...

Guess who's the favorite here?!?

OH, WAIT!!

I did exactly the same thing when I was her age

and Ticklebear didn't get upset with me either.

Sorry, honest mistake here!!

I guess it's OK to break these,

as long as we leave the leather couch and the television alone,

right?!?

Truth be said,

she amuses herself with most anything,

like when she plays fetch with those cigarette foils rolled up into a ball...

or vulgar pieces of ribbon.

I tell you!!

Truly anything amuses her!!

I must give credit here to the Man:

he got me/us a laser pointer.

WHAT A DELIGHTFUL THING!!

He was even cute when he got those glasses with cats painted on them.

That's so unlike him though.

And he even got us a new floor lamp when the old one broke down.

One thing he should be reminded though:

we see perfectly well in the dark!!!

He really didn't have to go through all that trouble.

Then August came by

and it was official:

Ophelia would stay with us

as her portrait was hung up on the wall

next to mine and Igraine's...

The Man still annoys us with his camera,

trying to get some GLAM shots,

as he calls them...

This one was taken last June

as Ophelia cuddled up to me.

You can all see just how enthusiastic i was about this...

The Man was very happy to see us together like that.

I was not!!!

One thing I am happy to report though:

Ophelia, by stuffing her face all of the time,

is turning into a pig!!!

I kid you not!!

She's half my age and already bigger than my pretty self...

Bitching aside,

do you understand why I have trouble with this?

I was doing just fine on my own.

It looks now like it will be an endless series of room-for-two,

dinner-for-two, litter-for-two, toys-for-two...

I didn't sign up for a threesome!!!

from Auntie Linoue,

whom i was never sure whether she was his half-sister,

or his ex mother-in-law or something else.

It is always nice to hear from decent folks like these.

We've never actually met

but I've heard only great things about them.

They look pretty sedated here though...

A lot has happened since we last talked,

trust me!!

Ticklebear and I moved out of the apartment in august

without him bothering to tell me.

To be quite honest,

I believe he didn't get much notice either,

as he became like a hurricane,

laying havoc everywhere he went

and things disappeared gradually out of the apartment.

I soon found out we were moving next door.

While he did most of the work,

[alright, all of it!!],

I felt exhausted just watching him.

Something was wrong

as Ticklebear just kept everything piled up in the new place

and he's usually fussy about his stuff

and how it is supposed to be arranged in a certain way.

Instead,

everything was helter skelter and he didn't seem to care.

Odd!!

I got the answer a week later

when we moved back in!!

It turns out we weren't relocating

but his old apartment was getting redone.

Now that explains all of the comings and goings i heard from next door,

and the funny smell which is paint, i was told,

something you put up on the walls and ceiling,

and everything is now white.

I like that!!

What i miss though is the wall to wall carpeting

as I skidaddle now on the new floors

and that annoys me immensely.

Ticklebear doesn't seem to miss the carpeting at all though...

But he did drive me crazy for a while

as he fixed up everything real fast.

Soon,

the apartment became livable again

and not a death trap for me.

Much grateful for that!!

But that wasn't the end of it,

as in the weeks that followed,

pieces of furniture kept vanishing and then,

strangers kept showing up with large boxes

which contained a lot of wrapping,

much to my delight,

and oh!!

Yeah,

the boxes also contained some new furniture...

Eventually,

there was less commotion

and things went back to normal,

finally!!

There is only so much a girl can go through.

Things are getting weird around here.

and he got a new one.

but I should be pleased about it,

For my first halloween,
TICKLEBEAR has left me at the gates of Hell,
in a Dame Edna outfit.
I'm sure to be a hit over there...
Someone must think he's got a sense of humor.

On the other hand,
I received this ecard from the SPCAI.
I think it is lovely,
and a good reminder of those pets
that are less fortunate.
Please support your local chapter of the SPCA,
and any other legitimate refuge for animals.
Not all of us have found a safe & loving home.

as I no longer have to stare at my predecessor's portrait
and feel envious.
I now have my very own portrait,
done by Veronique Perron,
of TWISTED KITTIES.
Am I not the prettiest thing ever?!?

Another visit to the vet
to finally rid me of these metallic stitches
so my life can go back to normal,
at last.
This feels so good!!
I did make a scene at the vet
as the procedure was not very well explained to me,
& TICKLEBEAR got a bit upset with me,
but once we got home,
he gave me a treat anyway.
I guess I didn't do so bad...
or someone's feeling a bit guilty here?!?
If only my fur could now grow back,
nobody will be able to tell
